Hello All Goat People
My name is Terry Barr, I have a wonderful wife named Patti, And 3
children Jason , Jamie And Joy. I own and operate Barr 5 Genetics.
which is a goat genetics business. We do everything from collecting buck
semen to selling Ai supplies and doing AI training. A lot of you know us
from when we raised and showed Lamanchas ( Shining Light Lamanchas),
but a lot more know Me and Jason from our business of traveling all
over the east coast collecting and processing goat semen. I was
Diagnosed with leukemia a little over 2 1/2 yrs ago. But continued to
work through it. But in June of last year I was shocked with the
diagnosis of small B cell Lymphoma. After the diagnosis I start a
chemotherapy treatments which lasted until the last of Nov. As many of
you know Chemo is a very nasty experience and sometimes has bad side
effects, I am now experiencing some of these . The chemo has now
caused nerve damage in my legs and also created a problem in my knees
that they haven't figured out yet. So collecting bucks is not a option
at this point. Also the Doctors are saying that the chemo will not cure
me, So they sent me to Duke to have Stem Cell Typing for a Transplant
in the future. BUT Me and my family are believing that God is some how
going to heal me. If it hadn't been for our Faith in God , and our
church standing with us , there is no way we could have made it this
far. I have found out that when you go through a crisis in your life you
find out Really what is important to you It seems like the whole way
you look at life seems to change. There have been a lot of you that have
sent Emails and cards. I would just like to Thank You, But most of all.
