Amazing Graze
"Tails" From The Farm!!" The story of the Blubaughs journey to farm life... We used to be a "typical" (what is typical) family. We lived in a brick house in DeLand, Florida. Michael, the husband and father, would go off to work and I, Marci, the wife and mother, would stay home and homeschool our son Joshua. We were busy with things everybody is busy with. However, something was tugging at our hearts. We wanted something different. We read in the Bible about living a quiet and simple life which prompted a dream in our minds of just what that might be. We pictured a lovely little farm; a neatly painted red barn with white trim; a goat or two in the pasture; some chickens; maybe even a cow. So, we started to pray and gather information. Little did we realize that life was not going to be quiet and simple in the way we had imagined. Then, dear friends had a goat who was due to kid. It belonged to their son. He and my son decided to do business. Johnny was going to sell Joshua this new kid if it was a doe. Well, the great day came and Ellie was born. The whole family went to pick her up. We found someone to buy milk from to feed her and we had bottles, and all the baby goat things we thought would be needed. It was such an exciting time!! We brought her home. It did not take long for us to realize how much money we were going to be spending to keep this baby in milk, so we went ahead and jumped in with both feet. We found another goat, Minx, who was in milk and we bought her. We began to think with satisfaction of, "this was the life for us." There is so much more to our story. If you would like to read the whole thing go to: https://www.amazinggrazefarms.faithweb.com/tails.html We are now in NE Ohio and raise both French and American Alpines. Michael chose our herd name as we wanted people to know that we love the Lord when they heard our name. Our farm name is Amazing Graze Farms.

Anawim Farm
Anawim Farm was started from scratch in 1990. Anawim is a Hebrew Word from the old testament. Being Christian, I wanted a word to describe the Mission of the farm. A "faithful remanent". In 1995 the first goats came to the farm from the dairy breeds. In 1997 I acquired my first Full Blooded Boer Buck. The farm has grown to include Boer and Kiko cross meat goats, Pure Bred American Boer Meat Goats, and in the fall of 2003 will see Pure Bred American Boer Bucks and Does. In 1997 Coyotes attacked the farm. I then began acquiring Great Pyrenees Flock Guardians and have raising and training them ever since. The future here in Southwestern Pennsylvania for Boer Meat Goats is Bright and Brisk. The increased population of Coyotes has fortified the continued breeding and training of Registered Great Pyrenees Flock Guardians. "Aurora of Anawim Farm" have birth to 13 puppies in her third litter in November of 2001. All were sold and some even before they were born. In a few weeks I will be acquiring an additional breeding female from C&C Farms in Stingler, Oklahoma thanks to Beverly Coate. I hope this spot on Khimaira Site will increase my chances of meeting more people with the same interests.

Anin's Thread Art
I love to design and embroider things,, With age I can no longer use a regular Zig Zag sewing machine to free hand embroider, so I got a 12 needle machine. I now use my computer to design and place the stitches, And an extra bonus is that I can repeat the same pattern over and over.
