Digger Pine
Digger Pine Ranch is located near the town of Grass Valley, California, Started by Diana L. Lewis and family. Purebred French Alpines In April of 1974 I went to a 4-H field day with a friend to Laurelwood Acres. I toured the dairy, the buck barn and noticed lots of goats. I bought a grade alpine kid and I was hooked. In 1978 I bought my first purebred alpine. In 1979 had my milkers classified by Harvey Considine. I have my herd appraised every two years. I raise only Purebred French Alpines and have been on a CAE preventive program for eigthteen years. With all kids hand raised and fed pasteurized milk. In 1990 I made a big step, and invested in an AI tank and purchased buck semen at the ADGA Convention in Santa Rosa. As finding good purebred buck close to home was getting impossible. In 1993 started having the does on one day milk tests. This year 2001 using AI, I bred seven does with eight does and five bucks being born. By using the management tools of showing, appraisal, milk tests, CAE preventive and AI we are concetrating on our idea of a dairy goat (an animal that has correct type, consistent good milk production, longevity and good health). Dorema Farms
I was attending a church that was doing a bible study on the Book of James. One of the words that came up was "Dorema". It meant a perfect gift from God. That is what this job was-- It provided a home and small farm for my herd --- a perfect gift from God. Tana McCarter

Dragonfly Farm Nigerian Dwarf Goats
Our farm is named Dragonfly Farm because we have so many mosquitoes! Dragonflies are therefore our very favorite insects because they eat so many of those pesky biters. On a still summer evening, the whole pasture will be filled with a fleet of jewel-like mini-helicopters. We have been raising healthy show and breeding quality Nigerian Dwarf Goats since 1997. Visitors are always welcome.

DreamWeaver~AngelGoats
I guess it started with my first Angora "angel baby" Georgie. He was a dreamy babay , unlike the dairy goats that had kidded.. I later found it is an Angora trait.. My late husband had a boat named DreamWeaver and the angoras to follow looked like they were weaving dreams as they lay chewing thier cuds.. AngelGoats comes from them.. they are my angelgoats..
